Cincinnati Artist Relief Assistance Fund
Wave Pool and the Contemporary Arts Center (CAC) are teaming up to provide local artists with critical funds during these difficult times. We have a limited number of $500 micro-grants for artists so that they may continue to create work and sustain themselves.*
*NOTE: Due to the overwhelming response and need in our artist community, our initial grant funds have been quickly depleted, funding a total of 85 artists in need to date. We are actively fundraising and asking for sponsors to increase our pool of funding and to fund applicants that are in need.
We are no longer accepting applications at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
Qualifying artists have:
Demonstrated lost financial opportunities due to the COVD19 crisis
Live in the Greater Cincinnati area
Have working artist status with a current artistic practice (this is self-defined, we are open to many practices and interpretations of ‘artist’). Awardees will receive a micro-grant, tied to conducting a 'micro residency' with the CAC or Wave Pool and there are options available for how these residencies will be spent in the application.
We will make awards on a first come first serve basis, with intentional invites to BIPOC communities, until the funds are depleted.
We are also looking for sponsors for this program. Please help sponsor more artists for this fund by donating via the button below!
If you have questions, please submit the application for consideration!
This relief program is funded by grants from ArtsWave, The Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile, Jr./U.S. Bank Foundation, The Johnson Foundation, and from the CAC’s general operating budget.
