On August 16th from 5pm – 2am, we will be hosting a Drawing Marathon. In total sports/running/swimming style with numbers on the artist’s back and seating and popcorn for the fans, each artist will be drawing continuously, creating an unknown number of works in the time allotted. Just as with any charitable marathon, in the weeks leading up to the event the athletes/artists will be soliciting for sponsorships for their participation. The donations accrued for this event will be split evening between Wave Pool and the artist participants, furthering Wave Pool’s mission to cultivate artistic development. In addition to the sponsorships, the artworks produced from the event will be sold both immediately during the event as well as during the Pool Party to support Wave Pool’s mission.
