As part of Funniest Joke in Cincinnati, a community joke mapping project led by artist Sophie Lindsey, Wave Pool will be hosting a series of drop in Chicken Making Workshops, the first on February 2nd from 2-4pm in our first floor gallery.

As the star of one of the most renowned jokes, the chicken has become an emblem for Sophie and this project. Through making your own interpretations of the animal she is will develop an informal discussion that will explore the role chickens play in comedy, why we are continually answering “Why did the chicken cross the road?” and much more.

Jokes that do not involve chickens are also welcome and ambitious responses/interpretations to the workshop are encouraged.

Some materials will be provided - feel free to supplement these if you have a specific vision in mind. A parade with these chickens will take place on February 23rd.
