What’s The Harm In A Reach?

August 15th - 24th in gallery, with events in the community beyond

Tucson based artist Abigail Smithson is collaborating on an art installation entitled What is the Harm in a Reach? where she asks people in Camp Washington and the surrounding area to make a drawing of a pass, an action that is the crux of the game of basketball and involves two people relying on one another. The final iteration of the drawings is a collection of cyanotype prints, hung in and around the gallery at Wave Pool. The goal of this work is an attempt to bridge a gap and allow for sports and art to coexist in a shared space.

The 2019 Art Space is Your Space Residency Program is supported by Carrington Broeman and Camp Washington Community Board.
