Wave Pool believes that one of the most profound ways to advance our world is by supporting artists. From exhibitions to professional development programs to fiscal sponsorship to low cost space rentals, we offer an array of programs and opportunities for direct artist assistance.
MULTIDISCIPLINARY ARTISTS FOR TRANSFORMATIVE CHANGE FELLOWSHIP (M.A.T.C.H.)
The MATCH residency program pairs selected candidates and local partners with the goal of fostering collaborations and artist-driven projects that exist at the intersection of the creative industry, local enterprise, and community development.
ARTIST SUPPORT GROUP
Unsure of the path that your art is leading you? The Artist Support Group meets quarterly to share our experiences as artists. We typically have special activities, guest speakers, discussion topics, but ultimately these meetings are driven by the artists who show up to participate. Check out our Events Calendar for more info!
VANCE WADDELL FEMINIST ARTIST RESIDENCY
The Wave Pool Vance Waddell program awards sponsored residencies to local, national, and international artists interested in engaging Cincinnati with their artistic practice. The AiR will be able to access to the Vance Waddell collection, which features the work of female-identifying artists who have and are working to resist oppression, subvert public scrutiny, and suggest alternative visual paradigms within the personal and political spheres. Successful residents respond to and build their project around the concepts and ideas offered in artworks held in the collection, as they create something new, needed, and proactive for our community.
ARTIST PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
As part of Wave Pool's commitment to supporting artists and artist-driven endeavors in our region, we offer an ongoing series of professional development courses. They range from online one-off information sessions and networking events, to a larger two-day conference. Check the link for further info on our current offerings.
