Knee Play performs a musical response to the exhibition “Sentiments of Here” — a multimedia exhibition comprised of sound, video, and a photographic installation that highlights subtle sensory experiences inspired by the banalities of the Midwest. 

In response, Knee Play will present music of in-between spaces, margins, and interstices. Knee Play’s members share roles as composer, improviser, and listener often structuring performances with the use of timed notation, graphic scores, and invented forms. They make music together through experiments with repurposed slide projectors, color tracking webcams, swinging pendulums, light sensors, synthesizers, field recordings, and percussion. The trio is comprised of Sam Ferris-Morris, Zach Larabee, and Justin West.
