Intermediate Woodworking (Tuesdays, PM)

Take your woodworking to the next level! In this class you will learn how to make a box starting from wood that will need to be milled into shape using a variety of tools including the planer, joiner, and table saw.

This box will also include hand cut finger joints and the bottom and top of the box will have edge treatment done on the router table. The lid and bottom of the box will incorporate a technique called book matching which will involve cutting a board in half on the bandsaw. After these pieces are milled down they will be glued together to have symmetrical sides.

This class includes opportunities along every step in the process for students to make the box unique and special.

Tuesdays, October 19th - December 7th, 6:30-9 pm. 8 classes total.
