Letters For A Future Of Choice: Writing as Radical Gratitude & Spell-Casting
June 5th, 6-8pm

 Artist-In-Residence Lena Chen will facilitate a workshop on writing thank you letters as a form of spell-casting, gratitude practice, and feminist resistance. The current exhibition focuses on expressing thanks for reproductive care and abortion access, though participants are free to engage with any subject matter during the workshop.

We Lived In The Gaps Between The Stories, a participatory art project that pays homage to abortion providers, midwives, healers, herbalists, doulas, clinic escorts, and all who care for abortion seekers. Visitors are invited to contribute to the artwork by writing thank you letters. During the duration of Chen’s residency, Wave Pool Gallery will be exhibiting Andrea Bowers' Wall of Letters: Necessary Reminders from the Past for a Future of Choice.
