Our popular ceramics classes are every Saturday in Wave Pool’s Wood Shop, where people learn hand-building techniques and share our progress with others.

This session is part two of a special edition led by Ruoyi Shi, our Welcome (M)Art resident. She will guide you using ceramic to build Lunar New Year figurines for her installation at the Welcome Project titled Food Envelopes. Miniature ceramic figures will be made in this second session to discuss the history and potential ways of conveying messages through food. These figures will then be placed inside ‘food envelopes’ for her Cincinnati’s Table Dinner on February 6th.

We have all of the tools, brushes, glazes, and clay needed to make your very own hand-built creations.

Classes are donation-based to help us pay our instructors and for supplies.

Masks required for unvaccinated and social distancing will be encouraged.
