An Italian invention of the 16th century, Art Salons were gatherings of people held by an inspiring host, with the aim of amusing and educating participants via conversation, food and drink. Historically, art salons thrive during periods of fervent change and upheaval—acting as theaters of conversation and exchange within the public sphere for people to discuss and debate robust and nuanced topics. Because we are all so thirsty for in-person connection after several years of isolation and social distancing, Wave Pool and Art Salon host Paloma Correa will host a monthly Art Salon featuring different topics and guest speakers to encourage this ongoing community building.  Bring a friend, an open mind, and we'll have food and drinks available for purchase at The Welcome Project to help get the ball rolling!
