WAVE POOL POOL PARTY and PARKING LOT ART FAIR
Come in your swim trunks and be ready for an art-filled summer swim party! Enjoy food and drinks, music, carnival games, and support the place that creates community fulfillment through artistic opportunity!
Wave Pool announces the annual Pool Party, to be held in the streets, parking lots, and vacant grassy lots around Camp Washington an artist-driven block party on August 17th, from 12 – 4 PM. This event is a party for the neighborhood, featuring artist-driven interactivities, food, an artist-made carnival with creative versions of PLINKO, bean bag toss, and more. The giant inflatable waterslide outdoors will keep us all cool and entertained.
This is Wave Pool’s primary source of income for next year’s programs including our Socially Engaged Artist and Curatorial Residency Programs, our educational wood shop, free community ceramics program, Artist Professional Development programs, and more. In order to make this event and next year a success, we are looking to raise $20,000.
The Pool Party also features the 9x18 Parking Lot Art Experiment (an alternative / performative / experimental / live art fair), which takes over the parking lot next to Wave Pool’s firehouse. Viewers will be inundated with performance, art actions, experimental engagements, and ephemeral works.
Funds raised at the Pool Party is what makes our programming possible. We need your help making our goal!
