A Typewriter Bike That Brings Poetry to the Street

Storycycle: A Typewriter Bike is an art bike and mobile residency project in collaboration with Elese Daniel. Part vehicle, part writer’s desk, the Storycycle will host artists and bicyclists for hours-long or days-long residencies. The Storycycle is a public art and advocacy project that aims to connect community through increased access and awareness to poetry and cycling. The resident writers/bicyclists will contribute work to spoke(n) an upcoming online zine exploring arts, culture, community, and movement, set to be released later this year.

Initial Storycycle Residents include Jheri Neri, Elese Daniel, Scott Holzman, Prince Lang, Shaakira Molisho, Adriana Prieto Quintero, Maya Spalding, Adanya Stephens, and Ricky Williams, Jr. If you see them cycling around the city and writing poetry, feel free to say hi!
