Artist and educator Sarah Rodriguez will be working in the gallery this Saturday as a part of the Cincinnati Artist Relief Assistance Fund (CARAF).
From the artist:
Since quarantine began I've been having a lot more girls’ nights over the phone. In this series, imagery is pulled from screenshots of these hangouts. The past six months have been difficult in many ways and every day I hold my friends closer. These pieces are a pocket-size way to preserve our laughter, sadness, confusion, and passionate conversation.
During my micro-residency I will work through my process, using a mix of drawing and collage to complete this project. Finally, I will be auctioning off one of the pieces, with proceeds being donated back into the CARAF.
